The lines in this painting are soft and gives the impression of movement. You can see this in the grass where it looks like wind may be blowing through it. The movement and shading makes the small cottage stand out as the main view. It gives a feel of sturdiness. The lighting of the cottage draws your eye directly to it. It has the feel of a fish eye lens view. I personally do own this and never knew any information about it. Now that I do I have even more appreciation for the painting and pride in owning it.
